1. How much do hearing aids cost?

Hearing aids cost anywhere from several hundred for a set to up to $6000 or more for a set, depending on the facility they are purchased from. Prices at Hearing Northwest range from about $400 each to $2600 each, before any applicable discounts or insurance coverage.

2. How long do hearing aids last?

Hearing aids have a life expectancy of up to 7 years.

3. Do hearing aids need repairs?

Yes. After the manufacturer warranty expires, repairs cost $150 and up.

4. What about batteries?

All hearing aids require batteries and depending on the size, may need to be replaced every few days to up to every three weeks. Most modern hearing instruments use smaller batteries that last about one-two weeks. Batteries cost on average $1 per cell.

5. Are my services at the office covered, or do I pay per visit?

All offices are different. Some charge a fee for services/appointments after the original warranty expires while other offices provide lifetime services. At Hearing Northwest, if the hearing aid was purchased from us, all in-office services are provided at no charge for the life-time of the hearing instrument. If the hearing aid was purchased elsewhere we usually can service it, but may charge a nominal fee of $2-$25, depending on the type of service required.
